Board of Education Special Meeting
The Board of Education of USD #331 met on June 25, 2007 at
8:13 p.m. for a special meeting at the Board of Education
Office.
Approval of the Minutes
The board approved the minutes
of the June 11, 2007 regular meeting.
Approval of Bills
The board approved the end-of-year bills in
the amount of $224,814.77.
Review General Fund,
Supplemental General Fund, and Capital Outlay Budget and
Approve Transfers Necessary to Finalize the 2007-2008 Budget
Don Mason,
superintendent, reviewed the end-of-year expenditures and
presented a recommendation to make a transfer of the
remaining budget authority in the general fund and
supplemental general fund to the drivers’ ed fund and the
special education fund in order to close out the 2006-2007
budget year.
The board
approved, upon receipt of state funds, to use the remaining
budget authority in the general fund and the supplemental
general fund as a transfer to the drivers’ ed fund and the
special education fund in order to close out the 2006-2007
budget year.
Executive Session
The board
went into executive session to discuss personnel matters for
non-elected personnel and negotiations.
Report By the Superintendent
Don Mason,
superintendent, gave a written report to the board.
The board
thanked Ken McGinnis and Todd Dixon for their eight years of
service on the board.

was taken on this item.
Consideration of Contracts
(Licensed and/or Classified)
The board
approved contracts for Charlie Eells as part-time custodian
at Norwich, D & R Consulting, Inc. to furnish a science
teacher at Kingman High School, Shelley Westhoff as head
girls’ softball coach at Kingman High School, and Zack
Westhoff as assistant girls’ softball coach at Kingman High
School.

25, 2007 special meeting.

The
next regular meeting will be Monday, July 9, 2007 at 7:00
p.m. at the Board of Education Office.
