The Heart of the Plains League was discussed and organized for several years before it came into existence. The league was formed by some schools coming from the Heart of America League, and some from the Central Plains league, and the entire Great Golden Plains League joining together to make a new league. Students gave input as to what the league should be named, and came up with a name that reflected the joining of all three previous leagues. And so it was born. The league began in the 2004-2005 school term. Ten schools make up the league. |
