We are so excited about all of the reading KES has been doing. We had a Super Bowl Reading Challenge where students brought back a football for every 20 minutes of reading they did at home. We had a school wide competition of boys vs. girls. Every 25 footballs scored a touchdown. Our staff wanted to get in on the fun as well, so we tracked their reading minutes also.
The final score to our football game was:
Girls: 432
Boys: 252
Staff: 288
The girls won and were rewarded with a Super Bowl Party in the gym with music, games, food, and fun.
We are so proud of everyone for making this a huge success.
The total number of minutes read by students was 57,000 minutes.
The total number of minutes read by students and staff was 81,000 minutes.
Congratulations!!
