I graduated from Kingman High School before getting my Bachelor's degree from Wichita State University. I earned a Master's in School Leadership from Emporia State University in 2011.

I began my career in Norwich as an elementary teacher in 1993 where I taught kindergarten, first and third grade as well as title reading. I became the Pk-6th grade building principal in 2018. My license and endorsements include Elementary K-9 and Building Leadership Pk-12.

I am married to Doug Howard and together we have seven children. Six daughters and one son. They are all grown and living on their own throughout the country. Some are as close as Wichita, one in Texas, one in Idaho and another in New York. Spending time with them and the grandchildren is our greatest joy.
