Love is in the air between league rivals the Kingman Eagles and the Chaparral Roadrunners on Tuesday, February 13th. While these schools battle for the points in the Bronze Cowboy Hat Challenge they are also coming together for a good cause. Both schools will be wearing orange in support of Chaparral girls basketball coach Leslie Gerber and her son, Abe who has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Both teams and student sections will be given orange shirts donated by Factory 233 on a first-come first-serve basis. Everyone else is encouraged to wear orange as well. Let's fill the gym and wear ORANGE for a great family!

Reminder: Help will be here on THURSDAY, January 25th at 7:00 pm in the KMHS cafeteria to assist parents/guardians and their seniors with filling out the FAFSA. There have been changes made this year and we would like to provide assistance. There will be individuals from Butler County Community College’s financial aid department to help with any questions or bumps along the way. Please make sure your student brings their computer and that you have 2022 tax information. Another item that would be helpful is if you have already applied (if you don’t already have one) for your FSA ID. You can apply at https://studentaid.org/fsa-id/create-account/launch .

There will be no school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, due to extremely low windchills forecast for the morning and early afternoon. Since temperatures are expected to recover later in the day, evening activities will continue as planned.

With snowfall predicted to continue for much of the evening and early morning hours, low overnight temperatures, and already snow-covered roads, we have decided to cancel school for tomorrow (Tuesday, January 9). Stay safe and warm.

Due to the current weather forecast calling for snow in our area tomorrow, Kingman-Norwich Schools will have a two-hour late start on Friday, January 5. Custodial staff, office staff, and building administrators should plan to arrive at the building by 8:00 a.m. provided road conditions allow to ensure the building is ready for students to arrive at 10:00. Teachers and other classified staff should plan to arrive at the building no later than 9:30 a.m. to assist with arrival. Given the uncertainty of forecasted weather, there is also a possibility that school may be canceled if the weather or road conditions fail to improve. If that is the case, additional email and text notifications will be sent to staff, and updates provided to the designated media outlets as soon as that decision is made.
