Kingman-Norwich Staff is excited to let you know about a GREAT new service available to all of our students. We now have counselors who come to the schools on a regular basis to provide therapy for students. This means you (as a parent) will not have to worry about scheduling or transporting your child to appointments. Students won't have to miss hours of class time due to travel. Kingman Middle High School picture day is Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Due to the extreme heat, we are adjusting the times for the Red/Black Scrimmage on Thursday. The MS football team will scrimmage at 6pm followed by the high school football team at 7pm. The volleyball schedule remains the same.

Purchase your 2023-24 Activity Pass at the KMHS Office!! $50 for the Individual pass and $100 for the Family pass. Admission into all varsity Central Plains League athletic events is $7 for adults and $5 for students under 18.

Friday (May 19) is the last day of school at KMHS, and it is an early release day! The middle school students will eat here with lunch being optional for the high school students. We will start the checkout process with the high school students by grade level starting with the Juniors at 11:15. Once they have completed their checkout, the high school students will be dismissed. The 7th-grade students will be dismissed at 12:20 and the buses will leave KMHS at 12:20 for any students riding the bus. Have a great summer!

Tuesday, May 9th at 7:00 pm the Kingman High School music department is excited to showcase our High School Band, High School Choir, and Madrigals! They will be performing the music they prepared for their league, regional, and state contests. In addition, several senior Madrigal members will be performing solos for their last concert as KHS Eagles! There will be a small reception in the choir room at the conclusion of the concert. All are welcome to join us in the Kingman High School Auditorium for an amazing evening of music!

Five Kingman Middle School girls performed at the League Music Festival in Chaparral. Ember Henning received an Excellent (2) rating. Olivia Huhman, Phoebe Camplin, Ailyana Guerrero, and Lizzy Wallace all received Outstanding (1) ratings. Congratulations, ladies!

Several Kingman High School Music Department soloists and ensembles represented KHS at the recent League and Regional Music Festivals. League Music Festival was held on March 7th in Conway Springs. The Regional Solo and Ensemble Music Festival was held on April 1 at Barton Community College. All participants received Outstanding or Excellent ratings! Three soloists received an I (Outstanding) rating at Regionals, which qualifies them for the State Music Festival which will be held on April 29 at Southeast of Saline High School. Those three students are Abigail Clover, Anniston Henning, and Valerie Weninger. Congratulations to all!

The conversation will center on online safety and manipulation tactics used by human traffickers specifically regarding children online. All Kingman parents and community members are invited to attend. Mr. Tuttle will also present to Kingman students on Wednesday, February 8th during the school day. Kingman Middle and High School is in need of additional paraprofessional support staff for the remainder of this school year, as well as for the 2023-34 school year. Anyone interested in applying for a position can email Mr. Albright (aalbright@knusd331.com) for additional information!

Kingman Middle and High School will not have school on Wednesday, January 25. We are hosting a Future Business Leaders of America competition with a large number of schools and students in our region participating. This only affects Kingman Middle and High School students; Kingman Elementary School will be in session on January 25. Classes will resume as normal on Thursday, January 26.

Parents/Guardians please check your email for a message about a survey we plan to give to students. This survey will help us look at the social and emotional well-being of our students. We will use the information from this survey to design programs that better address any student needs that we find. Winter Music Concert - Monday, December 12 at KMHS! Program begins at 7:30. Students please report to the following rooms by 7:00: MS and HS band members to the band room. MS Choir members to Mrs. Clover's room. HS Choir/Madrigals members to the Choir room. Following is the schedule: 1. MS Band~ 2. HS Band ~ Intermission for stage reset ~ 3. MS Choir ~ 4. HS Choir ~ 5. Madrigals. Students do not need to wear specific colors or clothing. Please have them wear the nicest clothes they have.
