Open House Update!
Norwich School will hold Open House and Meet the Teacher Night on Tuesday, August 17th.
Please follow the schedule below:
1st & 2nd grade 5-5:30
3rd & 4th grade 5:30-6:00
5th & 6th grade 6:00-6:30
7th & 8th grade 6:30-7:00
9-12th grades 7:00-7:30
Kindergarteners will get their own personal open house when they set up their get to know you appointments with the office.
Preschool Open house will be:
Morning class-Thursday, August 19th 6:00-7:00
Afternoon class-Friday, August 20th 6:00-7:00
We can't wait to see you! Don't forget your school supplies!
High School Football equipment checkout is tomorrow morning following commitment week conditioning.

2021 Yearbooks have arrived!
Graduated 2021 seniors if a yearbook was purchased for you, it is in the school office ready for pick up. Others will be distributed the first week of school, 7-12 at the signing party during seminar on Friday, 8/20 and
Elementary later that day.
One week from today practice starts - make sure to have your physical completed before then!
High school and middle school volleyball practices start MONDAY, AUGUST 16th at 3:30.

Please help us welcome Kerri Hansford as our new 1st grade teacher!
Kerri has been a teacher for 21 years. Mrs. Hansford has taught first, second, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. She has also been an interventionist in the areas of math and reading. Kerri has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Saint Mary’s University, and a Master’s degree from Baker University in School Leadership. Currently, she working on an Education Specialist Degree from Fort Hays State in Reading. Kerri and her husband have been married for twenty-eight years. They have two fantastic children, Logan and Avery. Logan lives in Kansas City and attends Park University. Avery just graduated from high school, and will attend K-State in the fall. In my spare time, Mrs. Hansford loves to read, watch movies, and spend time with my family. She is excited for school to start so she can meet the staff and families at Norwich School and we could not be more excited to have her!

Please help us welcome Erin Walter to the teaching staff at Norwich School!
Erin was born and raised in California and has been a resident of Kansas for 13 years now. Mrs. Walter originally lived in Wichita and after meeting her husband and getting married, they moved to Norwich. Norwich is where Erin's husband grew up. The Walters have lived Norwich for 7 years now and it has quickly become her home. Erin and her husband Nathan have two sons, Luke and Dylan. Luke will be starting kindergarten and Dylan will be starting AM Preschool in the fall at Norwich Elementary. Mrs. Walter has been a para educator at Norwich for 7 years and it was during that time that she realized how much she wanted to go back to school to get her education degree. Erin received her Associates of Arts from Cowley Community College and went on to receive her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education through the TAP program at WSU. Mrs. Walter will continue her education in the fall and will be studying to receive her Masters degree in Special Education from WSU as well. Working in the Special Education world is Mrs. Walter's passion and she looks forward to helping all children reach their goals! #TeamNorwich #GoEagles #DifferenceMaker

Norwich School is excited to add Emily Schlickau to the team as the 7-12 social studies teacher!
Mrs. Schlickau lives about 10 miles southwest of Norwich in Harper County with her husband, Gabe, and kids Harry and Lena. Most of her free time is spent supporting her kids’ activities including 4-H, rec and school sports and showing cattle. Emily also enjoys gardening, cooking and running.
For the last three years Mrs. Schlickau has been at Harper Elementary as a sixth grade teacher. Her career experience prior to becoming a teacher includes time as a food scientist at Cargill, a fitness instructor and stay at home mom. In 2017 Emily became a paraeducator while she returned to school to obtain a Master’s degree in Teaching Arts from Kansas State.
Mrs. Schlickau feels called to teach government, civics and history. She believes it is important to build a foundation of knowledge in these subjects to allow young people to grow into informed citizens. To this end, Emily is passionate about providing learning opportunities that fit kids’ personal learning styles.
