We are excited to be introducing Rose Benge as our staff at Norwich Schools! Rose and her husband Jason moved to Norwich in 2007, and all 3 of their children have attended Norwich since preschool. The Benge's are actively involved with the Norwich Rec and Norwich Booster Club. Mrs. Benge was inspired to become a teacher when working as a special education para. She graduated from Southwestern College with a degree in Elementary Education and has taught 6th grade in Conway Springs for the last 5 years. Rose said she became a teacher "to make a difference in her students' lives and teach them skills that go far beyond the classroom." When she is not teaching she can most likely be found watching her kids play sports. Mrs. Benge also enjoys spending time at the lake with friends and family. She is really looking forward to teaching English Language Arts and Math to Norwich 7th and 8th graders as well as assistant coaching the HS volleyball team and MS girls basketball team. Help us welcome Rose to the teaching staff at Norwich School! #TeamNorwich #GoEagles #DifferenceMaker

Please help us welcome Kelli Ast (Awe-st) to the teaching staff at Norwich Middle-High School. Kelli will be serving students in grades 7-12 as a special education teacher. Kelli feels fortunate to have had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom/wife for 8 years before going back to teaching. She taught at Conway Springs High School as the 9-12 Business teacher for the past 3 years. She recently completed her Masters degree in Special Education and is looking forward to utilizing it as a Special Education teacher at Norwich. Kelli, her husband and four children, live just a few miles outside of Norwich. Their children have attended Norwich since Pre-School. They will be in Kindergarten, 1st, 5th and 6th grade during the 2021-2022 school year. Kelli's time outside of work includes spending time with her family. She and her husband are both actively involved in watching/coaching their kids in rec sports. They stay busy on their farm with dairy goats, chickens, guineas, cats, dog, riding horses when possible and gardening. The Ast's also enjoy serving the Norwich community by owning and operating Redz Restaurant. Kelli hopes to make a difference in her students' lives by teaching them strategies to be successful in life, helping them to see their strengths and possibly help them decide what they would like to do with their lives after high school. She will strive to have any type of positive influence she can to help them succeed in life. Welcome to #TeamNorwich Kelli! #GoEagles
