Holiday stress? More tips from Mayo:
3. Be realistic. Holidays don't have to be perfect or just like last year. Families change and grow, traditions can too.
4. Set aside differences. Try to accept loved ones as they are, even the imperfections.

USD 331 Counselors acknowledge the holiday season can be stressful. Here are the first 2 of 10 holiday prevention tips from the Mayo Clinic:
1. Acknowledge your feelings. If someone close to you has recently died or you can't be with loved ones for other reasons, realize that it's normal to feel sadness and grief. It's OK to take time to cry or express your feelings. You can't force yourself to be happy just because it's the holiday season.
2. Reach out. If you feel lonely or isolated, seek out community, religious or other social events or communities. Many may have websites, online support groups, social media sites or virtual events. They can offer support and companionship.

What a great week in 4th grade! Students learned about the courage, commitment and service of our service men and women. They learned the history of Arlington National Cemetery and the elite group of Honor Guards that guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. They discovered different things that are done to show honor at military funerals. To cap it off, they wrote letters of gratitude to veterans and then decorated the envelopes. Great job to Ms. Lampe’s 4th grade class!🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
