MONEY FOR MADISON!
Next week, NHS KAY club will sponsoring Money for Madison. This will be in place of Pennies for Patients because we would like all of the funds raised to go to our very own student battling childhood cancer. The class that raises the most money will get to duct tape a teacher of their choosing to the wall! We hope you will help us raise as much money as we can for Madison!

Fifth graders have been busy putting their mathematical concepts into real world problems. In the early part of October, we began working on our Halloween store project. We use our proceeds for the Norwich Community Food Pantry by shopping at our local grocery store. The Eagle Grocery is always very welcoming in letting our class come down to spend our profits. We began by getting a list of pantry needs from Mrs. Shipley. Then each group had a budget and had to work together to find items that would be useful for the pantry. During our project, we used many business and mathematical concepts in our mission such as, budgeting; adding and subtracting decimals; estimating; and other critical thinking skills. We would like to thank all of our patrons who visited our store and to the Eagle Grocery for their patience!
Ethan and Soren were are our #GoodNewsCalloftheDay makers today! They both earned SOAR awards! Keep SOARing high boys!

We finished the season 18-14. The girls really improved their skills this year and did a great job. Coach Benge and I are proud of them this season and looking forward to next year.
